Cairns has a fabulous tropical climate. During spring and
autumn Cairns enjoys sunny days and balmy evenings, with temperatures
ranging 18C – 30C. The winter period (June – August) is sunny
with low rainfall. Temperatures range 18C – 26C.
Summer is the ‘Green Season’ with warmer
temperatures and increased rainfall. During summer (December –
February) you’ll enjoy fantastic hot days with occasional tropical
storms.
As a reminder, swimming is not recommended in the ocean
between November and April due to the box jelly fish.
